“Veronica’s Wish” Lands Nomination In Pan African Film And Arts Festival In Los Angeles

Multi-award winning Ugandan film “Veronica’s Wish” has done it yet again.
After scooping a whooping total of 9 awards at the 2018 Uganda Film Festival, the female-dominated film has bagged a nomination in the Pan African Film and Arts Festival awards in the category of Best First Time Feature Film.
The film festival that seeks to celebrate Black films, Black fashion and Black arts will kick off on February 8 and run till February 18 in Los Angeles California.
“Veronica’s Wish” will also be screened in 10 spaces during the festival. The film’s writer, producer and lead actress Nisha Kalema is already en route to Los Angeles for the event.
The film stars actors like Malaika Nyanzi, Simon Base Kalema and Moushema Houssen. It was also directed by a female, Rehema Nanfuka who made history by becoming the first Ugandan female to win Best Director award at the Uganda Film Festival awards that took place last year.
