The Coalition for Digital Equality (CODE)O has nominated three Ugandan women for the 2021 Digital Equality Awards.
Zimba Women founders Peace Kuteesa and Sherifah Tumusiime have been nominated alongside GLIM co-founder Nila Yasmin in the category of Women Entrepreneurship and Investment Champion.
The awards that will take place on Wednesday, July 18, seek to recognise the achievements of individuals in Ghana and Uganda working to push the boundaries of digital inclusion and transformation in Africa. The awards intend to acknowledge specific individuals who have enables digital skills, knowledge and innovation to better the lives of marginalized communities, youths and African women.
