Sarah Kisauzi emerged one of the biggest winners at the recently concluded Uganda Film Festival awards 2021.
The legendary actress best known for her role as ‘Nalweyiso’ in the ‘Deception’ series, bagged the 2021 Lifetime Achievement award at the 8th edition of the annual film festival awards that saw outstanding players in the industry recognized for their tremendous contributions.
Other women who walked away with accolades include; Agaba Joan-Best Actress in Feature Film (Stain), Nana Kagga Best Actress in Feature Film (Prestige), Josephine Kabahuma-Best Production Design (Catch Out), Ninsiima Ronah- Best Costume (Stain), Josephine Kabahuma- Best Screenplay (Kemi) and Keloy Kemigisha- Best Supporting Actress in Feature Film (Kemi).
The 2021 Uganda Film Festival that took place from March 29, 2021 to April 2, 2021, was held under the theme ;“Rebuilding a Resilient Creative Industry through the Pandemic.”
An initiative of the Uganda Communications Commision, the annual festival showcases local content in the film industry with the aim of generating interest in the Ugandan film industry both locally and internationally, professionalism, bringing all the industry players together in a more focused and promising environment.
