Pheona Nabaasa Wall is the recipient of this year’s prestigious Peace and Reconciliation award.
The Uganda Law Society President was presented the prestigious award at a joint reception that was hosted by the Embassies of France and Germany to Uganda on Wednesday, January 22, to mark the 57th anniversary of the signing of the Elysee Treaty.
According to a statement released by the French Embassy in Uganda, Pheona was awarded in recognition of her remarkable work for the preservation of the rule of law in her country Uganda, especially during these past few months on behalf of the Uganda Law Society.’

Last year, Pheona made history following her election as president of the Uganda Law Society, becoming the first woman to achieve the milestone.
