New Release: Zuba Network’s Docuseries 'Women Beyond Borders'

The year 2021 marked a pivotal milestone for Africa with the launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). With a market potential of over 1.4 billion people from 54 African countries, this initiative holds immense promise for fostering economic growth and unlocking new opportunities for the continent’s entrepreneurs, particularly women.

According to the World Bank, AfCFTA is projected to boost Africa’s income by $450 billion by 2035 and significantly elevate intra-African exports by over 81%. Women already contribute a substantial 33% to Africa’s GDP and dominate 70% of informal cross-border trade.

However, critical to this transformative agenda are crucial questions: How can women be empowered to harness the full benefits of AfCFTA? These questions lie at the heart of Zuba Network’s new docuseries ‘Women Beyond Borders.
