Lamic Kirabo Joins UNICEF For Campaign Against Underage Marriages In Burkina Faso

Lamic Kirabo, a popular Ugandan lifestyle and fashion blogger, has travelled to Burkina Faso as part of her work with the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund.
The Paris based Ugandan Modelpreneur landed in the West African country on Wednesday March 6, for the UN agency’s ‘Don’t Call Me Mrs’ campaign, that seeks to end underage marriages.
On Thursday March 7, Lamic got to meet and interact with communities, women and girls who are defying against the vice in their areas, which has been largely blamed for the high rate of school dropout among the girl child in the country.
According to Lamic, no girl deserves to be denied the right to education and her personal ambitions, by virtue of her background and sexuality.
“Interacting with these girls has been such a blessing and really opened my eyes to how impactful education is in developing communities in Burkina Faso and around the world.” Lamic added.
