Kimuli Fashionability, a prominent fashion house that up-cycles plastic waste into eco-fashion garment and accessories, is set to hold a charity fashion show later this month.
Dubbed ‘Kimuli Fashionability Inclusive and Sustainable Charity Fashion Show’, the event will take place on November 30, at Social Innovation Academy Main Hall in Mpigi Town.
It will feature multiple Ugandan designers showcasing their latest designs that will be modelled by people with various types of disabilities.
According to Juliet Namujju, one of the co-founders of Kimuli Fashionability, all proceeds from the event will go towards the construction of a new training center for people with disabilities aimed at equipping them with creativity and tailoring skills to sustain themselves.
Since its inception in 2015, Kimuli Fashionability has showcased its designs in different countries like Germany, Poland, among others and has been endorsed by Victoria Secrets supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio.
