Jean Sseninde To Join FIFA President Gianni Infantino As Speakers For FIFA Women's Football Convention 2019

Jean Sseninde, a professional Ugandan footballer has been selected among the high-profile line-up of speakers who will take to the stage, at the first ever FIFA Women’s Football Convention, a manifestation of a dream she once noted down.
She will be joining the likes of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Fatma Samoura, FIFA Secretary General, Nadine Kessler, Head of Women’s Football, UEFA, among other speakers at the high-profile event.
The inaugural convention will be attended by leaders from the world of football, politics and society aimed at discussing the development of the women’s game, the social benefits of football for women and girls, and the positive impact it can have on female empowerment.

Jean, who is also the founder of Sseninde Foundation, an organization that empowers girls to play football alongside their education, announced the exciting news on Tuesday June4, revealing
she wrote down a speech in her notebook when she was 20 years old and promised herself that she would one day read it out to so many people.
“Dreams do come true, I dreamt of this moment and can’t believe I have the opportunity. I am so excited and still can’t believe that I will be speaking at the first ever Women’s Football Convention. Women football growth is one of the key issues I’ve been so vocal about, what an honour this is! Still can’t put it into words.” Jean said in a statement.

The 2019 FIFA Women’s Football Convention that has been organized by football’s world governing body, will take place in Paris, France from June 6-7, ahead of the 8th edition of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup that commence on June 7.

Congratulations Jean!
