From Vinka to Irene Ntale, we couldn’t be any prouder of our female musicians! Clearly they are on a mission to push the envelopes further, musically.
Ntale has officially joined Universal Music, the world’s biggest record label and home to some of the world’s greatest music talents like The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Taylor Swift, among others.
The ‘Sembela’ hitmaker has signed a contract with the Nigerian division of the record label, Universal Music Nigeria, which was launched in July 2018 to support artists from Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia and throughout the continent, utilizing Universal Music Group’s global networks for wider discovery, marketing, promotion and distribution.
Ntale broke the news to her fans and media via her social media platforms on Wednesday morning, August 21, posting photos from the contract signing, with the promising caption, “Shall we begin?”
Her signing comes barely three months after Vinka joined Sony Music Africa, also one of the world’s biggest record labels, becoming only the second Ugandan singer to achieve the milestone following Keko.
Congratulations Ntale!
