The much anticipated FIFA World Cup 2022 officially kicks off on Sunday, November 20, in Doha Qatar with hosts Qatar playing against Ecuador at Al Bayt Stadium.
While Uganda did not qualify to participate in the global football tournament, the country is represented on another front.
Celebrated Ugandan sports journalist Usher Komugisha, has announced she will be covering all the football action in Qatar for global media brand Al-Jazeera.
Through a series of posts on her social media platforms on Saturday, November 19, Usher revealed part of her coverage will include exclusive interviews with players as as a behind the scenes coverage.

In 2019, she was named among the 100 Most Influential Young Africans alongside Nancy Kacungira, Caster Semenya, Alaa Salah, Davido, among others, for her tremendous contribution to sports in the continent.
