Adesua Etomi Wellington, a Nigerian actress, has been featured among Vogue’s ’14 Global Superstars’, the only African to make it to the list.
The multi-award winning actress graces the prestigious magazine’s cover alongside 13 other actresses from 13 countries who are being honored for their contribution towards the entertainment industry, in its April edition.
They include Scarlett Johansson, Angela Baby, Hera Hilmar, Vanessa Kirby, among others.
The fashion magazine introduces Adesua as a third culture kid who grew up in England but was compelled by her intuition to move back to Nigeria where she ended up becoming a successful actress.
Reacting to the exciting news in an interview with Bella Naija, Adesua said,
“It’s imprinted in my history for all time and I think that’s really special. I also love Nollywood and I love Nigeria and I will do anything that puts us in a positive light. I always say that no matter where I go, I’m taking Nigeria with me.”
Adesua has starred in multi award winning films like, “Knocking On Heaven’s Door”, “The Arbitration”, “The Wedding Party”, among others.
